Artist's Open Call.
We are excited to announce a call for submissions for “Rooted in Yorkshire”, an upcoming art exhibition in Leeds celebrating the many facets of Yorkshire. This exhibition seeks to explore Yorkshire through diverse artistic lenses, encompassing its landscapes, history, people, culture, and beyond.
We invite artists to contribute works that capture, reflect, or are inspired by any aspect of Yorkshire—whether it be its natural beauty, vibrant communities, industrial heritage, or everyday life. Artworks can celebrate Yorkshire’s charm, critique its complexities, or explore the personal connections and stories tied to the region.
Submission Guidelines:
Mediums: two-dimensional artworks, such as paintings, photographs, drawings, and prints.
Submission deadline: 5th Febuary, 2025
Fee: £7 per accepted artist to help cover exhibition costs. Additionally, a 25% commission will be applied to any sold artwork.
How to Submit:
Each artist is welcome to submit up to 5 artworks for consideration.
Submission should include an artist statement (200 words maximum) explaining the connection between the artwork and Yorkshire, as well as the title and dimensions of the piece.
