Six weeks earlier they were beginners. That evening the students of our Beginners Painting Course hung their paintings on our gallery wall, and the painters were there to talk about their work.

Six weeks from a blank canvas
The final exhibition of our Beginners Painting Course, From Blank Canvas to Gallery Wall.
Six weeks before, this group came into the studio as beginners. The course brings a new technique each week, from oil pastels and bold acrylic florals to the palette knife, and its last two sessions go into one personal piece for the gallery wall.
On the night it was free to come and see the work: guests could RSVP or just drop in between 5pm and 8pm, and ask the painters about their paintings.

Next: the November intakes
The next intakes exhibit on 18 December
Six weekly sessions in a small group, made for complete beginners. Start on Mon 2 Nov, Tue 3 Nov or Sat 7 Nov, and finish with your painting on the gallery wall at the students’ exhibition on Friday 18 December.
