About Ghazal
Ghazal Felan is an Iranian-born painter and curator whose work explores the intersection of culture, identity, and artistic expression. With a passion for connecting communities through art, she is dedicated to introducing British audiences to a diverse range of artistic voices, fostering dialogue between Eastern and Western creative traditions.
Ghazal’s practice is deeply influenced by her heritage and the evolving narratives of migration, memory, and belonging. Her paintings often feature rich textures, evocative color palettes, and a thoughtful interplay of light and form, drawing from both classical Persian motifs and contemporary Western influences. As a curator, she is committed to uncovering hidden artistic narratives and showcasing emerging talents through her work with UK Art Spotlight, a platform she co-founded to bring international artists into the British art scene.
Her recent exhibitions have focused on bridging artistic disciplines, incorporating elements of photography, mixed media, and conceptual storytelling. She actively engages with the wider art community, building networks that challenge conventional perspectives and encourage fresh interpretations of cultural heritage.
Beyond her artistic practice, Ghazal is an advocate for creative entrepreneurship, constantly seeking new ways to make art more accessible and commercially viable. She is currently developing an online store featuring artist-associated merchandise, blending fine art with contemporary design through print-on-demand technology.
With a growing presence in the UK art world, Ghazal Felan continues to push boundaries, using her work as a bridge between past and present, East and West, tradition and innovation.
